JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As the social manager, you will have overall responsibility for the social administration's operations, finances, work environment, and personnel. You are a strategic leader who drives development, but also a present manager who builds trust and engagement.

You will lead the administration together with your team of managers and employees and be an integral part of the municipality's management group, where you contribute to a holistic view and forward-looking collaboration across administrative boundaries.

You are a confident and clear leader who dares to take responsibility, make decisions, and show direction. You have an academic education in a relevant field, several years of managerial experience, and good insight into social operations. You are strategic, communicative, and development-oriented, and you see relationships as one of your most important success factors.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a strong ability to build relationships, lead through others, and create trust through participation. Your leadership is characterized by transparency and a genuine interest in collaboration. You invite dialogue, create engagement, and build good relationships both internally and externally. You also have a strong commitment to preventive and promotional efforts and the ability to think holistically. You are comfortable in a complex role that requires both change management and continuity.

You have good communication skills and understand the importance of bouncing ideas and making decisions in collaboration with others. You have experience from a complex and politically governed organization and a good understanding of the breadth of social services, are receptive, but also stand firm in your competence.

You can navigate the dialogue between politics and operations with integrity and pedagogical ability. You are persistent, structured, and capable of thinking long-term even in a fast-paced environment. You are also curious about how digitalization, new working methods, and collaboration can contribute to a more sustainable welfare.

We are looking for someone who has

  • An academic degree in a relevant field deemed suitable by the employer.
  • Several years of experience as a manager and leader.
  • Experience in the operational areas of social administration.
  • Experience working in a management group and collaborating internally and externally.
  • Experience with budget responsibility and understanding of financial management.
  • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
  • Driver's license (B).
